An early spin-off organization of Bethany Improvement Foundation is The Billboard Museum. After getting the organization started and working on goals, the Billboard Museum secured their own 501(c)(3) status and began meeting separately.
The museum will present a fun, educational, and immersive experience. It will capture one’s imagination and allow exploration of the unique art and outdoor advertising heritage in the USA from the late 1800s. Working with billboard and sign companies and private collectors, The Billboard Museum will collect, preserve, interpret, exhibit, educate and instill appreciation for roadside advertising.
The Billboard Museum Association will receive funds to establishment the museum, preferably on Route 66 in Bethany, Oklahoma.
American roadside advertising will be preserved. Graphic artists can study the history of advertising at a research center in the museum.
